Qualifications

• Experience with object-oriented programming languages (such as Java, Kotlin, or similar).
• Willingness to monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system performance through logging and metrics.
• Ability and motivation to learn quickly and apply knowledge to solve real problems.
• A hunger to take on challenging projects and build systems that operate at massive scale.

Responsibilities

• Shape next-generation timekeeping systems at massive scale, processing tens of millions of shift events every week.
• Build, run, and improve core backend systems alongside a collaborative, supportive team.
• Be part of an organization with a strong focus on engineering culture and end-to-end ownership.
• Participate in the full development lifecycle—design, estimation, implementation, testing, debugging, and deployment—while applying best practices for building and operating reliable systems at scale.
• Ship code that directly impacts the company’s growth and the day-to-day operations of restaurant teams.
• Partner with product and design to influence what we build and how we build it.
• Participate in thoughtful code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback.
