Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of backend/data engineering experience in large-scale systems.
• Proficiency in Java and Python; strong SQL.
• Experience building batch/streaming data pipelines (Spark) and high-scale server apps.
• Cloud platform experience (GCP/AWS).
• Experience using AI coding assistants and LLMs to boost throughput.

Responsibilities

• Own backend services and data pipelines powering AI/ML personalization for 220+ million users.
• Lead performance and scalability efforts across the stack.
• Build resilient, self-healing pipelines and automated diagnostics.
• Establish data quality and compliance frameworks for petabyte-scale datasets.
• Coordinate architecture roadmaps between Dublin and US teams.
• Set best practices for AI-assisted development and code validation.
