Job summary

Yahoo is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to join the Yahoo Mail team in Ireland. You will drive complex features for a global product with millions of users, mentoring peers and owning delivery from design to production.

The role requires 6+ years in OO mobile development, strong Swift/Objective-C/C++, and hands-on experience with modern test frameworks. On-site Dublin one day per week in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science (or equivalent) with 6+ years of experience.
• Strong OO programming experience: Swift, Objective-C, C++, Java or similar.
• Strong CS foundation: data structures, algorithms, software design.
• Deep knowledge of iOS development and lifecycle.
• Expertise in design patterns, code structure, CI/CD and deployment architectures.
• Experience with mobile test-driven development using XCUITest, Espresso, Roboelectric, Appium, Kiwi.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical design and implementation of complex, high-quality features.
• Perform code reviews and mentor peers in a collaborative model.
• Tackle and resolve engineering and UX challenges within the app.
• Own technical delivery of significant features impacting millions of users.
• Collaborate with designers, PMs and engineers to deliver new features and fixes.
• Write testable, reliable code and deploy to production systems.
