Job summary

SRG is seeking an experienced Senior Azure Security Consultant to lead a cloud security transformation for a major enterprise. You will implement Microsoft Defender for Cloud, optimize CSPM, and enhance threat detection and vulnerability management across complex Azure environments.

You will collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Cyber Security and IT Operations to drive remediation, governance, and security standards, while delivering knowledge transfer and practical guidance to technical teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Cloud/Cyber Security or Security Consulting.
• Hands-on experience deploying Microsoft Defender for Cloud in Azure.
• Strong CSPM experience with remediation prioritisation.
• Experience aligning cloud environments to the Microsoft Cloud Security Benchmark.
• Knowledge of Azure security architecture, governance and best practices.
• Experience with RBAC and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
• Proven ability to drive cloud security transformation programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Azure security improvement initiatives across a complex cloud environment.
• Assess and optimise Microsoft Defender for Cloud configurations.
• Review and prioritise Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) recommendations.
• Drive remediation activities with cloud, infrastructure and cybersecurity teams.
• Assess Azure Identity and Access Management controls, including RBAC and PIM.
• Support the implementation of cloud governance and security standards.
• Enhance threat detection, vulnerability management and response capabilities.
• Develop and maintain cloud security documentation, procedures and operational processes.
• Provide technical guidance, stakeholder engagement and knowledge transfer across teams.
• Support the adoption of Microsoft Cloud Security best practices and benchmarks.
