Job summary

VANRATH, a leading technology consultancy in Ireland, is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to deliver cloud-based data solutions for enterprise clients on an initial 6-month contract. The role combines hands-on data engineering with strategic analytics in a hybrid/remote setup.

You will design scalable pipelines using Snowflake, Databricks and Azure Data Services, mentor teams, and work closely with clients to translate complex requirements into robust ETL/ELT pipelines and governance

Qualifications

Senior Data Engineer/consultant with commercial experience.
Hands-on Snowflake and Databricks expertise.
Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake experience.
Advanced SQL and Python or PySpark skills.
Proven ability to build enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines.
Knowledge of data modelling, governance and data quality.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable data pipelines and cloud data platforms.
Build and optimise solutions using Snowflake, Databricks and Azure Data Services.
Develop robust ETL/ELT workflows for complex datasets.
Support data migration, integration and transformation projects.
Provide technical guidance and promote best practices in data engineering.
Work closely with clients to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
