Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a Senior Azure Administrator to provide expert operational and technical support across the Platform Azure team, covering Microsoft Azure, hybrid infrastructure, on-premise virtualization, and backup platforms. You will act as a senior escalation point, contribute to service reliability, and mentor junior engineers while maintaining comprehensive documentation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure, managed services, or cloud operations.
• Strong hands-on experience administering and supporting Microsoft Azure environments in production.
• Hands-on experience with on-premises infrastructure including ESXi, VMware and Commvault backup/recovery.
• Experience supporting enterprise customers across incident, problem, change, and service improvement activities.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across cloud, identity, server, networking, monitoring, and security domains.
• ITIL practices and experience in a controlled managed service environment.
• Clear communication with customers, technical teams, service managers, and stakeholders.
• Documentation of technical notes, support guides, and customer-facing updates.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior Azure administration across multiple managed service customers.
• Act as escalation point for Azure, Windows, identity, networking, monitoring, backup, and security controls.
• Support Azure services including VMs, storage, networking, AD, Azure VDI, Monitor, backup, recovery.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to gather requirements and design solutions.
• Support hybrid and on-premises environments including VMware, Commvault, Windows Server, AD, DNS, Office 365.
• Maintain runbooks, technical designs, and support procedures.
