Job summary

INNOVATE Skillsource in Shannon, Co. Clare, is seeking an experienced Production Manager for aviation operations. This senior, hands-on role oversees aircraft production projects and hangar operations, delivering safely, on time and to quality standards.

You’ll lead the production team, manage budgets and ensure customer satisfaction, with travel as needed. The ideal candidate has a strong background in aviation operations and project delivery, with proven experience managing production teams,

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' Project Management experience in aviation.
• Experience managing aviation production, maintenance, engineering or operational projects.
• Strong technical understanding of aviation operations.
• Proven experience leading operational or production teams.
• Experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
• Strong customer and stakeholder management experience.
• Ability to manage projects against milestones, deadlines and quality requirements.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or significant relevant project delivery experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Willingness to travel to other locations when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of production projects and hangar operations.
• Act as a liaison between management, production teams and customers.
• Plan, coordinate and oversee projects from preparation through execution and completion.
• Ensure projects meet milestones, quality requirements and budgets.
• Manage project preparation, resources, execution and cost control.
• Maintain high hangar standards across quality, health, safety and environment.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance for hangar equipment and infrastructure.
• Monitor production performance and ensure targets are achieved.
• Manage production budgets and control direct and indirect costs.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and resource utilization.
• Drive continuous improvement across production, quality and service delivery.
• Ensure alignment with wider business objectives and customer requirements.
• Lead, develop and manage the production team.
• Set clear performance, quality, safety and accountability expectations.
• Coordinate resources across projects and operational needs.
• Support performance management and team development.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Maintain effective communication with customers and internal departments.
• Conduct regular production meetings to monitor progress and risks.
• Build strong relationships with senior management and stakeholders.
