Job summary

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Limerick, Ireland, is seeking a Principal Automation Engineer to join the Automation team.

You will be the site SME for Allen Bradley Rockwell PLC and HMI programming, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of automated process equipment. You will lead end-to-end automation projects from concept through commissioning and turnover, manage change control per SOPs and GAMP 5, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, document, and maintain software

Qualifications

BS/BA in Science/Engineering with 8+ years in validated Automation systems within a regulated industry (FDA/cGMP).
Strong working knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5, validation/qualification methodologies, data integrity, and change control.
Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley Rockwell automation platforms (FactoryTalk View Studio SE/ME, ControlLogix Studio 5000).

Responsibilities

Serve as site SME for Allen Bradley Rockwell PLC and HMI programming, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
Lead end-to-end automation projects from concept to commissioning and turnover.
Develop and maintain project schedules; work with cross-functional teams to design, document, and maintain software architecture for embedded and application software.
Own change control processes for automation configuration changes ensuring SOP adherence and data integrity.
Provide engineering design documentation guidance, test plans, and regulatory compliance support under GAMP 5.
Lead root cause analysis and complex troubleshooting with high independence; provide 24/7 on-call support as needed.
Drive continuous improvement to enhance system performance, reliability, and compliance.
