Job summary

Réalta Technologies are seeking an Automation Engineer with Allen-Bradley experience to support a Medical Device client in Cork. Ideal candidate has 3-5 years in manufacturing automation and will work on PLC, HMI/SCADA integration, and validation workflows.

Role involves scripting, testing, commissioning, and maintaining automation assets in a regulated environment with emphasis on documentation and traceability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley platforms (Studio 5000, RSLogix 5000).
• Experience with validation documentation and GxP compliance.
• Familiar with Ethernet/IP or DeviceNet protocols.
• Experience with Cognex Vision Systems and Fanuc Robotics.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; eager to grow.

Responsibilities

• Programming, testing, and commissioning of Allen-Bradley PLC systems.
• Troubleshooting and maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Integrate PLCs with HMI/SCADA systems.
• Maintain and update documentation including code annotations and schematics.
• Assist in validation lifecycle documents (URS, FDS, SDS, IQ, OQ, PQ).
• Execute/test IQ/OQ/PQ protocols with traceability to requirements.
• Ensure compliance with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11 and data integrity.
• Participate in system upgrades and continuous improvement.
