Job summary

Uniphar is seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to join our technology transformation program within the Project Management Office. This high-visibility role influences delivery across multiple projects for a global healthcare services business based in Ireland.

You will lead automation testing efforts, document the automation approach, set up UI and API testing frameworks, coordinate cross‑functional test teams and ensure CSV compliance in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years as a Senior Automation Tester in complex technology implementations within large scale enterprises.
• Experience with multi‑year technology transformation programs.
• Experience coordinating multiple Test Teams to ensure deliverables meet project requirements and specified quality.
• Strong exposure to SDLC and STLC phases – comfortable working with Delivery Teams in Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid methodologies.
• 4+ years of writing functional automation scripts in C# or Java.
• 3+ years of testing REST APIs.
• Experience in BDD/ATDD type delivery environments, including mocking services to write acceptance tests alongside development.
• Experience with source‑control management (Git).
• Experience with GitHub Actions and repository management.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• ISTQB certification advantageous, or other QA certification.
• Experience across various technology and product stacks (ERP, WMS, CRM, eCommerce, digital, mobile apps, HRIS, SAP).
• Demonstrable experience with CSV, implementing projects in a GxP regulated environment, or Finance ISO standards.
• Solid understanding of test automation and non‑functional testing.
• Experience mentoring testers and knowledge transfer.
• Strong teamwork, emotional intelligence, good self‑management, openness, and transparency.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Test Manager with governance activities.
• Ensure the right automation approach is documented and agreed.
• Adopt an automation-first approach to deliverables.
• Work with Automation and Functional Test teams.
• Analyse and agree tooling requirements with cross-functional team.
• Set up UI and API testing frameworks.
• Allocate work to Test Teams across projects and track milestones.
• Suggest process and tooling improvements.
• Assist with test estimation activities.
• Report progress and escalate issues to Test Manager.
• Influence and drive Test Teams to meet timelines.
• Work with Quality Team to ensure CSV compliance.
• Assist with defining standards within test scripting, execution, and regression.
• Collaborate with Functional Test Lead for cross-over phases.
• Administer information to Test Teams and collaborate with peers.
• Provide test scripting and execution support to Automation Engineers during heavy workload.
• Demonstrate quality and delivery mindset.
• Propose continuous process and tooling improvements.
