Job summary

Job description

I am hiring for a Senior Automation Engineer to join an established international automation business in Dublin.

Per diem on on-site pay typically €10,000–€12,000 per year, depending on travel

Dublin | Travel across the EU (EU passport required)

The role

You’ll help lead automation projects through design, software development, testing and commissioning, working closely with customers and fellow engineers.

Your work will span PLC, DCS and SCADA systems, with opportunities to get involved in MES and historian platforms.

I’d like to speak with engineers who bring:

• 5+ years’ experience in industrial automation
• Hands‑on PLC/DCS programming and SCADA experience
• Strong problem‑solving and customer communication skills
• A willingness to travel and deliver projects across the EU

You’ll need a full Irish driving licence and eligibility to work and travel in Ireland and Europe without sponsorship. This role is based between the Dublin office and customer sites.

Alongside the salary and per diem, the package includes healthcare, pension, 25 days’ paid holiday and extended on‑site pay, with business travel and living expenses paid or reimbursed.
