Job summary
Tekpak Automation Ltd. designs and builds bespoke automated packaging and assembly machinery for the pharmaceutical, medical-device, and food sectors.
As a Senior Automation/Controls Engineer, you will lead the control and software systems behind these machines and own projects end-to-end in a fast-paced, regulated environment. You will design and develop software for PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, servo and motion control, vision systems, and high-speed pick-and-place robotics, defining system
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in industrial automation software development.
- Experience programming PLC platforms (Schneider PacDrive, Rockwell Studio 5000/RSLogix) using ladder logic, SFC, and ST.
- Proficient with HMI systems (Weintek, FactoryTalk View) and servo/robot control.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, GAMP and validation concepts in a regulated environment.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills, with cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of software for PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, servo and motion control.
- Define and review system and design specifications; ensure integration with mechanical/electrical systems.
- Drive software validation and compliance with industry regulations.
- Mentor junior software engineers and support team competency.
- Plan installation, commissioning, FAT and SAT activities at Tekpak and customer sites.
