Job summary

Version 1 is seeking an Applied AI Architect to design, build, deploy and maintain production-grade multi-agent AI systems for high-demand customer engagements. You will work closely with customer architects and senior engineers, setting technical standards and delivering robust reference implementations.

The role blends deep technical execution with trusted advisory work, covering orchestration, evaluation, guardrails, and observability in production environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing, deploying and maintaining multi-agent systems in production.
• Strong consulting ability to earn trust with customer stakeholders.
• Deep architectural credibility for multi-agent orchestration, routing and guardrails.
• Hands-on experience with leading agent frameworks and evaluation.
• Comfort working in front of customers, shaping decisions rather than just delivering.

Responsibilities

• Advise customer AI architects and act as trusted technical adviser.
• Run discovery workshops and architecture reviews with stakeholders.
• Co-design multi-agent architectures with customer engineering teams.
• Create reference implementations and accelerators for production use.
• Address production challenges like hallucinations, tool-call failures and latency.
• Set technical standards and perform peer reviews of designs.
• Define evaluation and observability practices for agentic systems.
• Mentor Applied AI Consultants on advanced engineering practices.
• Contribute reusable architectures and patterns to Version 1's toolkit.
