Job summary

Software Placements Ltd represents a leading multinational semiconductor company recruiting a Contract Senior Staff Applications Verification Engineer based in Cork City, Ireland. The role involves collaboration across applications, verification, design, firmware and systems teams to ensure robust, spec-compliant power devices for volume production.

You will develop pre-silicon HW emulation, design verification IP for UVM environments, and perform system performance evaluations ahead of IC

Qualifications

PhD, post-graduate or degree qualification in Electronic Engineering.
10+ years' relevant engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Develop pre-silicon HW emulation and IC Evaluation plans.
Design verification IP for portability between UVM pre-silicon environments and FPGA-based HW emulation.
Evaluate system performance for IC tapeout.
HW emulation test-plan delivery and completeness prior to IC tapeouts.
Benchmark FPGA and IC applications against specs.
Develop lab automation for instruments, data collection and analysis.
Design, development and maintenance of HW platforms to support IC designs.
Protocol and digital interface verification for full specification compliance.
Plan, track and report progress against milestones; project management and issue tracking.
