The role emphasizes REST and GraphQL, microservices, cloud deployments, and data‑driven decisions using Databricks, Spark, or Snowflake. Strong leadership and hands‑on engineering are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in API development with RESTful and GraphQL.
• Proficient in Python, Java, Node.js, or Go.
• Hands‑on experience with API management tools (Mulesoft, Kong, Apigee, AWS/Azure).
• Strong microservices architecture and event‑driven design patterns.
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, and API key management.
• Experience with caching, load balancing, and monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience integrating APIs with Databricks, Spark, or Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop APIs and microservices for high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, and DevOps to define API governance and integration patterns.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and encryption standards (OAuth2, JWT, API keys).
• Optimize throughput and reduce latency with caching, rate-limiting, and proactive monitoring.
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship to engineers.
• Deploy and manage services in cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure) using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Integrate APIs with Databricks, Spark, or Snowflake for analytics and real‑time data.
• Create developer‑centered documentation and ensure reliable, well‑tested APIs.
• Stay updated on serverless, edge computing, and security frameworks to evolve the ecosystem.
