The Operations Office is central to the delivery of our primary role – the operation, development and enhancement of the power system and the wholesale electricity market. The Office is also responsible for the sustainable implementation of the transmission system and market development to meet the future needs of all users of electricity.
Within the Operations Office, the Readiness and Operational Change function comprises of a skilled team of professionals with backgrounds in engineering, business/commerce and legal. We partner with our colleagues in other Offices to deliver the changes to support the development of the power system and market. The team are responsible for ensuring that we are operationally ready for the future market and system and that the appropriate technology solutions are delivered. We also manage Governance, Risk, Compliance and Audit associated with our licence and other legal obligations and ensure ongoing compliance with change. The team engages with external regulatory, System operator and industry stakeholders both in Ireland and Europe on technical and market changes, on implementation of European codes and obligations and on compliance.
The Senior Analyst will support regulatory, licence and code compliance across the TSO, with particular focus on System Operations Scheduling and Dispatch, the Capacity Market Code and Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS)/ Offshore Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (ORESS) obligations, as well as future change. The role provides compliance oversight, audit coordination, assurance support and governance expertise, working with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen compliance performance and support the continuous improvement of EirGrid Group's compliance framework.
