Job summary

EirGrid is seeking a Senior Analyst in Audit & Compliance to support regulatory, licence and code compliance across the TSO, with focus on System Operations Scheduling and Dispatch, the Capacity Market Code and RESS/ORESS obligations.

The role provides compliance oversight, audit coordination and governance expertise, working with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen compliance performance and support continuous improvement of EirGrid Group's compliance framework.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant discipline and at least 4 years’ experience in regulatory, governance, compliance, risk, audit, market operations or analytical roles.
  • Strong understanding of governance, risk, compliance, assurance and regulatory oversight.
  • Experience interpreting complex regulatory or operational requirements and translating them into practical business outcomes, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop reports, dashboards, briefing papers and management information, and present clearly to senior management, governance forums, regulators or external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support compliance with regulatory, licence and code obligations, including oversight, ongoing management and reporting.
  • Assess regulatory changes and support implementation of associated controls and processes.
  • Coordinate and support regulatory, licence and code audits, including planning, evidence gathering and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage audit findings and track remediation actions through to closure.
  • Provide compliance support across System Operations, Capacity Market, RESS/ORESS and programme delivery activities.
  • Support annual compliance parameter reviews and associated governance processes.
  • Develop compliance reporting, guidance and training materials.
  • Engage with and build effective relationships with regulators, auditors and internal stakeholders to support assurance and governance activities.
  • Identify compliance risks and improvement opportunities and promote a strong compliance culture.
  • Develop and deliver compliance guidance, training and awareness activities.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards and briefing material for management and governance forums.

The Team

The Operations Office is central to the delivery of our primary role – the operation, development and enhancement of the power system and the wholesale electricity market. The Office is also responsible for the sustainable implementation of the transmission system and market development to meet the future needs of all users of electricity.

Within theOperationsOffice, theReadiness and Operational Changefunctioncomprisesof a skilled team of professionals with backgrounds in engineering, business/commerce and legal. We partner with our colleagues in other Offices to deliver the changes to support the development of the power system and market. The teamare responsible forensuring that we are operationally ready for the future market and system and that theappropriate technologysolutions are delivered. We also manage Governance, Risk, Compliance and Audit associated with our licence and other legal obligationsand ensure ongoing compliance with change. The team engages with external regulatory, System operator and industry stakeholders both in Ireland and Europe on technical and market changes, on implementation of European codes and obligations and on compliance.

The Role

TheSeniorAnalystwill support regulatory, licence and code compliance across the TSO, with particular focus on System OperationsScheduling and Dispatch, the Capacity Market Code and RenewableElectricity Support Scheme (RESS)/OffshoreRenewable Electricity Support Scheme(ORESS)obligations, as well as future change. Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience
