Job summary

Sonatus is seeking a highly motivated AI Engineer to join our Customer Engineering team to deliver AI-driven solutions for automotive OEMs and Tier‑1 customers. You will translate real-world challenges into practical AI solutions and deploy capabilities on cloud and vehicle environments.

In this forward-deployed role, you will collaborate with customer engineering teams to define problems, design end‑to‑end AI solutions, and ensure scalable, reliable data flows and system interoperability across

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).
12+ years in AI/Machine Learning, Data Engineering, or related domains, with automotive exposure.
Solid understanding of ML, data analytics, and AI-based systems with real-world solutions.
Experience designing data pipelines, analytics workflows, and model-driven systems.
Strong experience deploying and operating software in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Experience integrating platform-based solutions with external systems and APIs.
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes; hands-on production AI/ML deployment experience.
Proven ability to influence customer direction in customer-facing engagements.

Responsibilities

Partner with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to identify high-impact, scalable AI use cases.
Act as trusted advisor to customers, shaping requirements and decisions.
Communicate trade-offs, ROI, and architectural implications to stakeholders.
Design, integrate, and deploy AI/ML solutions across cloud and vehicle environments.
Develop and iterate AI models, PoCs, and production-ready solutions.
Lead technical discussions on AI feasibility and system limitations.
Identify risks in AI deployment and drive mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance AI capabilities and pipelines.
