Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland is seeking an Associate Director to lead the strategy, governance and delivery oversight for the Internal AI Product Team within Technology Consulting. You will shape a clear internal AI product vision and translate senior priorities into a pragmatic roadmap, ensuring delivery of AI-enabled products and workflow tools aligned to our Data & AI offering.

This senior role requires delivering data, AI, analytics and product initiatives with measurable business impact,

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Product Management.
Minimum of 8 years’ professional experience in data, analytics, AI, product management, technology consulting, software delivery, automation, data governance or related field.
Proficiency in at least one technology, platform or programming language such as SQL, Python, Power BI, Power Platform (Power Automate and Power Apps), Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Azure OpenAI, Databricks, Snowflake or equivalent tools.

Responsibilities

Define and own the internal AI product strategy, aligning with senior management priorities and business objectives.
Translate leadership vision into a prioritised product roadmap, with clear investment priorities and milestones.
Provide oversight across the full product portfolio including discovery, MVP, release planning and adoption.
Lead multi-disciplinary teams across product analysis, AI engineering, data science, governance and adoption activity.
Set delivery standards for governance, documentation, testing, release controls and user adoption.
Engage senior stakeholders to shape demand and secure adoption across the business.
Provide strategic challenge on build-versus-buy, scope, feasibility and governance.
Ensure products are designed with privacy, security, explainability and EU/IE requirements.
Identify opportunities to turn internal products into reusable IP and accelerators.
Coach and develop junior team members within the internal product team.
Report progress, risks and product performance to governance forums.
Shape GenAI, RAG, document intelligence, workflow automation and analytics opportunities.
Support propositions and client-facing materials where internal capability strengthens GT’s market position.
