Job summary

TechHeads in Dublin is seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer to join a Technology Transformation function. You will build, scale and productionise GenAI solutions for the wider business, working 70% on build/delivery and 30% with stakeholders across the lifecycle.

This hands-on role focuses on producing scalable, secure AI platforms using Python, AWS and modern LLM frameworks, with strong collaboration across business and technology teams.

Qualifications

• Strong Python software engineering.
• Hands-on experience building AI agents, RAG solutions and LLM applications.
• APIs, microservices and cloud-native development.
• LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI or similar.
• Vector databases/retrieval technologies such as Qdrant or PGVector.
• Docker and CI/CD.
• Experience taking solutions from POC into production.
• Strong communication across business and technology teams.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, MLOps/LLMOps or regulated environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

TechHeads is partnering with a leading global organisation that is continuing to invest significantly in its AI Engineering capability in Dublin.

We are seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer to join a growing Technology Transformation function, working directly with senior AI leadership to build, scale and productionise GenAI solutions for the wider business.

This is a genuinely hands‑on engineering position – approximately 70% build/delivery and 30% working with business stakeholders to understand problems, define requirements and identify where AI can deliver meaningful value.

You will work across both an existing pipeline of AI initiatives and new business use cases, taking ideas from concept and POC through to scalable production solutions.

You will:

• Design, build, test and deploy GenAI and agentic AI solutions.
• Take successful POCs and engineer them for production and wider business use.
• Build solutions using Python, AWS and modern LLM frameworks.
• Develop RAG/Graph-RAG, AI agents and multi-step workflows.
• Build APIs, integrations and reusable AI components.
• Work directly with business stakeholders to understand and document requirements.
• Evaluate new AI technologies and rapidly test their potential.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure and deliver measurable business value.
• Work across the full lifecycle rather than handing development to another team.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a strong Software/Platform Engineer who has moved into GenAI, rather than a purely research or Data Science individual.

Key experience:

• Strong Python software engineering.
• Hands‑on experience building AI agents, RAG solutions and LLM applications.
• APIs, microservices and cloud-native development.
• LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI or similar.
• Vector databases/retrieval technologies such as Qdrant or PGVector.
• Docker and CI/CD.
• Experience taking solutions from POC into production.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across both business and technology teams.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, MLOps/LLMOps, AI monitoring/evaluation or regulated environments would be advantageous.
