Job summary

RECRUITERS in city centre is hiring a Senior AI Software Engineer to design and deploy production-ready AI solutions. You will work hands-on across AI, GenAI, LLMs, ML, and conversational AI, taking ideas from rapid prototyping to scalable production.

You'll prototype PoCs, build AI apps on AWS (Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda), and own the end-to-end SDLC with strong emphasis on APIs and AI evaluation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Generative AI and LLM-based applications.
• Experience deploying AI/ML solutions on AWS (Bedrock, SageMaker, or Lambda).
• Strong API integration and AI service integration into enterprise apps.
• Experience with prompts, context engineering and AI evaluation.
• Demonstrated ability to take AI solutions through the full SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI applications, agents and GenAI solutions using Python.

Our client is looking for a Senior AI Software Engineer to join a growing Artificial Intelligence team building and deploying production-ready AI solutions across the business.

This is a highly hands-on engineering role for someone who wants to build, not just discuss, AI. You'll work across Agentic AI, Generative AI, LLMs, Machine Learning and conversational AI, taking solutions from rapid prototype and MVP through to scalable production deployment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and build AI applications, agents and GenAI solutions using Python.
• Integrate LLMs and conversational AI into enterprise applications and workflows.
• Rapidly prototype and deliver PoCs and MVPs, then scale successful solutions into production.
• Build and manage Machine Learning pipelines across the full AI lifecycle.
• Deploy AI/ML solutions on AWS, including technologies such as Bedrock, SageMaker and Lambda.
• Apply Prompt Engineering, Context Engineering and AI Evaluation techniques to improve solution quality.
• Own development across the full SDLC, including testing, deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.

Must Haves

• Proven hands-on experience with Generative AI and LLM-based applications.
• Experience building Conversational AI solutions.
• Hands-on experience deploying AI/ML solutions on AWS, ideally using Bedrock, SageMaker and/or Lambda.
• Experience with Databricks.
• Experience with data engineering, data manipulation and ML pipelines.
• Understanding of MLOps, model deployment, monitoring and lifecycle management.
• Strong experience with APIs and integrating AI services into enterprise applications.
• Experience with unit, integration and system testing.
• Hands-on experience with Prompt Engineering, Context Engineering and AI Evaluation.
• Proven ability to take AI solutions through the full SDLC, from design and rapid prototyping to production deployment.
• Experience using AI development tools, such as Claude, ChatGPT or AI coding assistants, to accelerate engineering delivery.

Nice to Have

• AWS Machine Learning or related certifications.
• DevOps experience, including CI/CD, automation and containerisation.
• Jira and Confluence experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
