Deloitte Ireland LLP is hiring an AI Engineer to join the AI Scaling and Transformation team in a hybrid Dublin or Cork role. You will design, build, and deploy cutting‑edge AI and GenAI solutions for high‑profile clients, combining deep technical expertise with collaborative problem solving in a people‑first culture.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Engineering, AI, or related STEM field.
• Hands‑on experience deploying AI/ML solutions in production.
• Experience deploying data‑driven/AI apps in regulated environments is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Python or R; SQL and data mining proficiency.
• Familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn, and XGBoost.
• Understanding of MLOps: CI/CD, versioning, monitoring and retraining.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and GenAI deployment.
• Awareness of responsible AI practices and certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI solutions with stakeholders to address business challenges.
• Build and optimise ML infrastructure for large datasets and distributed computing.
• Deploy and operationalise AI systems with production‑grade reliability.
• Research and apply emerging AI frameworks and GenAI techniques.
• Ensure responsible AI practices including fairness and interpretability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to share knowledge and improve delivery.
• Translate complex AI concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Monitor and optimise deployed models for performance and cost efficiency.
