Job summary

WSP Land is seeking a Senior Agricultural Liaison Officer to provide expertise on agricultural and land management to facilitate access, way leaving and possession of land across the UK and Ireland. You will advise on agricultural tenancies, secure land rights and negotiate terms for major infrastructure projects.

You will work with a multi-disciplinary team across energy, rail and utilities, liaising with landowners and stakeholders while ensuring compliance and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Geography, Land/Estate Management, Agriculture or a relevant discipline.
• Experience delivering land referencing, land access, landowner engagement and statutory processes on major infrastructure projects.
• Experience negotiating with landowners; knowledge of wayleaves/easements desirable.
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams across the UK and Ireland.
• Strong communication and negotiating skills; ability to influence stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to sites and remote locations; chartership advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise on agricultural and land management to facilitate access, way leaving and possession of land.
• Advise on agricultural tenancies and secure land rights for infrastructure projects.
• Negotiate land-related agreements and option terms with landowners.
• Coordinate with engineering, environmental and planning teams to deliver projects.
• Organise site visits with landowners and stakeholders and maintain records in databases.
• Regularly report progress to clients; manage expectations and ensure satisfaction.
• Lead quality assurance of deliverables and promote innovation within the team.
