EY Dublin is seeking a Life Actuarial Manager to join our Actuary, Risk Consulting practice. You will lead multidisciplinary projects, drive high-quality client deliverables, and mentor junior staff across life insurance and reinsurance engagements.

The role requires prior management of junior staff, strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a professional client-facing demeanour. Hybrid working and ongoing professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in managing more junior staff and delivering projects.
• Demonstrated ability in problem solving and managing multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication skills, both in written and oral format.
• Focus on deadlines, discipline and process, yet flexible and pragmatic.
• Professional attitude and demeanour.
• Confident dealing with clients.
• Qualified Actuary with 3+ years PQE and over 6 years total life insurance/reinsurance or life consultancy experience, preferably IFRS 17.

Responsibilities

• Actuarial Managers deliver and manage actuarial and multidisciplinary projects, including client relationships and EY team performance.
• Drive production of client deliverables with emphasis on quality and teamwork; mentor juniors.
• Develop areas of technical excellence and support growth of these fields; adopt an account management mindset.
• Lead client interactions and guide junior colleagues; promote EY strategy and values.
• Work across assurance and business consulting projects and expand EY network.
