Job summary

KPMG Ireland is seeking a Manager/Associate Director for Actuarial Advisory in Dublin. This role involves leading client engagements on actuarial issues across Solvency II, IFRS 17 and related areas, with outsourced services and independent opinions as core deliverables.

The position is permanently based in Dublin with hybrid working options. You will liaise with clients, develop strong professional relationships, and mentor a growing actuarial team while contributing to firm-wide initiatives in

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the non-life (re)insurance market, consultancy or industry.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
• Strong technical and analytical skills in actuarial work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative with deadlines.
• Team player capable of integrating into multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients and advise on actuarial issues across Solvency II, IFRS 17, Risk, ESG, etc.
• Provide outsourced actuarial services and formal actuarial opinions.
• Perform independent actuarial assessments including reserve reviews and valuations for M&A.
• Contribute to profitability reviews and pricing support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across audit, tax, regulatory, risk and IT consulting.
• Help develop and promote actuarial initiatives such as Solvency II, IFRS 17, ESG.
• Support training and development of the actuarial team.
