Job summary

Le Meas Executive Search is delighted to partner with a leading corporate services firm based in Dublin to recruit a Senior Accountant. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will manage a portfolio of aviation finance and SPV clients, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.

The role offers exposure to IFRS and local GAAP, interaction with auditors, and opportunities to lead junior staff and potentially take on SPV directorships.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification required.
• 1-2 years PQE in a top 10 firm or financial services.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience managing junior staff/trainees.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements for capital markets and aircraft leasing SPVs.
• Lead end-to-end prep of IFRS or local GAAP statements, incl. audit prep.
• Onboard new clients from an accounting perspective.
• Train and manage junior team members.
• Oversee SPV directorships for broader client exposure.
• Lead liaison with auditors and clients to complete statements.
• Manage quarterly management accounts for SPV portfolios.
• Coordinate with tax advisors on VAT and corporation tax compliance.
• Prepare and file quarterly regulatory returns to Central Bank of Ireland.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and drive process improvements.

Le Meas Executive Search are delighted to partner with a leading corporate services firm based in Dublin, on an exclusive basis, as they continue to expand their Irish operation.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the senior accountant will be joining the firm in a a period of high growth and be responsible for managing relationship with aviation finance and SPV related clients

Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial statements for a varied portfolio of capital markets and aircraft leasing SPVs in line with transactional and statutory deadlines.
• Beginning to end responsibility for leading the preparation of financial statements under IFRS or local GAAP, including active involvement in both audit preparation and delivery;
• Lead the on boarding of new clients from an accounting perspective
• Train and manage less experienced members of the team;
• In time take on a portfolio of SPV directorships thereby getting a broader exposure to the transaction and clients;
• Lead the interaction with auditors and the client to ensure successful completion of the financial statements;
• Manage the completion of quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of aircraft leasing SPVs;
• Liaising with the tax advisors and others in relation to VAT and corporation tax compliance
• Preparation and filing of quarterly regulatory returns to Central Bank of Ireland;
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, while actively contributing to process improvements within team

Requirements:

• ACA / ACCA Qualified
• 1-2 years PQE in top 10 firm or in financial services / corporate services firm
