Job summary

Strata Financial is building an advisory-focused practice for SME owners in Ireland. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing Advisory team, reporting to the Advisory Partner, and delivering across a diverse range of engagements while helping shape and expand our advisory offering.

This role goes beyond traditional compliance, giving hands-on experience in valuations, transactions, restructuring, forensic work, financial modelling and strategic business support, with emphasis on

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified.
• At least 4 years of experience in an accounting practice.
• Experience preparing financial analyses and client-facing deliverables.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing Advisory team at an exciting stage in our journey. Reporting directly to our Advisory Partner, you'll work across a diverse range of engagements, helping business owners navigate critical decisions while playing an active role in shaping and expanding our advisory offering.

This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional compliance-focused accounting work and build a well-rounded advisory career, gaining hands-on experience across valuations, transactions, restructuring, forensic work, financial modelling and strategic business support.

What You'll Actually Do

Advisory & Client Delivery

• Support the delivery of business valuations, financial due diligence and M&A transaction assignments.
• Assist clients through restructuring, insolvency and business recovery engagements.
• Prepare advisory reports, financial analyses and recommendations that help clients make informed strategic decisions.
• Undertake forensic accounting investigations and provide detailed findings and insights.
• Prepare management accounts, statutory accounts and financial information to support advisory engagements.

Financial Analysis, Planning & Modelling

• Develop financial models, forecasts and business plans for clients across a range of industries.
• Analyse financial performance, cash flow and funding requirements to identify opportunities and risks.
• Support financing and fundraising projects, including lender presentations and investor-ready financial information.
• Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning initiatives.

Client Relationships & Business Development

• Build strong working relationships with clients and become a trusted point of contact during engagements.
• Participate in client meetings and contribute to the presentation of findings, recommendations and project updates.
• Identify opportunities to expand advisory services within existing client relationships.
• Support the continued growth and development of the advisory practice.

What You'll Bring

• Accounting qualified (ACA/ACCA)
• At least 4 years of experience within accounting practice
• Experience preparing financial analyses, reports and client-facing deliverables.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
• Commercial awareness and a genuine interest in helping businesses navigate growth, change and challenging situations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced advisory environment.

Nice to have

• Previous exposure to restructuring and insolvency engagements.
• Experience supporting M&A transactions, due diligence or business valuations.
• Exposure to forensic accounting assignments or investigations.Knowledge of financing, fundraising or debt advisory projects.
