Senior Accountant (65521) Wexford, Republic of Ireland

Salary: EUR60000 - EUR65000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Senior Accountant to join their growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to take on a varied role with significant client interaction, team leadership responsibilities, and exposure to a diverse portfolio of businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring a consistently high standard of service and client satisfaction.
  • Review and prepare year-end financial statements, management accounts, and statutory filings for a range of business entities.
  • Provide practical business advice and financial guidance to clients, supporting informed decision-making and growth strategies.
  • Monitor engagement progress and ensure client deliverables are completed accurately and in line with agreed deadlines.
  • Lead the planning and coordination of assignments across the accounting team, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Review the work of junior team members, providing guidance, coaching, and technical support where required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve client processes and enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, acting as a trusted point of contact for day-to-day queries.
Skills and Experience
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
  • Highly motivated professional with a strong commitment to career development and continuous learning.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver excellent service.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience mentoring and supporting junior staff.
  • Resident in Ireland.
  • Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience within a practice environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to build credibility and trust with clients and colleagues alike.
