KSGalway is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Machinist to join its advanced manufacturing team in Athlone. You will program, set up, and operate 5-axis DMG, Makino and Doosan machines to deliver complex, high-precision components on tight schedules.

The role requires 5+ years in 5-axis machining, expert Hypermill proficiency, and a track record of producing parts to exacting tolerances in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and a focus on quality are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with 5 axis simultaneous machining.
• Proficiency in Hypermill for multi-axis programming is mandatory.
• Strong experience with Makino, DMG, Doosan 5 axis platforms.
• Proven ability to program and machine complex geometries to tight tolerances.
• Comfortable in a high-pressure, high-mix manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate 5 axis DMG, Makino and Doosan machines to manufacture high-precision parts.
• Develop efficient Hypermill programs for complex part families.
• Optimize machining processes for quality, repeatability, and throughput.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, adjust offsets, improve toolpaths, and reduce cycle times.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production to meet timelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to company standards.
• Provide input into tooling selection and process improvements.
