Job summary

Merck Electronics in Ireland is seeking a MEGASYS Operations Supervisor to oversee technicians in semiconductor gas and chemical management, ensuring uninterrupted supply for chip production.

You will lead shifts, drive safety and continuous improvement, coordinate projects, and act as the primary customer interface for operations. Travel is required, with potential relocation options for the right candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with 2+ years in semiconductor/chemical manufacturing
• Leadership or supervisory experience in electronics or chemical manufacturing
• Experience with on-site gas/chemical handling and safety processes

Responsibilities

• Drives safety-first culture with ZERO targets in safety and quality performance; supervise BSP safety processes/requirements for shifts
• Drives continuous improvement by implementing site changes based on metrics and needs across shifts
• Ensures flawless handoffs between shifts with clear communication of customer expectations and deadlines
• Main customer contact for Operations and project activities; ensures sustaining activities are completed
• Communicates customer activity, e.g., delayed requests, equipment status, and action item completion
• Trains and certifies technicians to reach required proficiency per scope of work
• Maintains MAXIMO and online systems to address operational concerns and reduce downtime
• Performs 8D investigations; conducts root cause analysis and closes action items
• Monitors equipment/service excursions and escalates appropriately
• Maintains online shift schedule, oversees attendance, and provides performance feedback
