Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking a Security Architect in a Dublin City Centre / Hybrid role focusing on tooling and product architecture. You will evaluate security technologies, design integrated security ecosystems, and balance hands-on depth with strategic architecture across IAM, cloud security, SIEM, and threat detection platforms.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security roles including architecture, security engineering or tool evaluation.
• Hands-on experience deploying and optimising enterprise security products in production.
• Broad knowledge across IAM/PAM/SSO, EDR, cloud security, network security, SIEM, vulnerability management and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect security solutions across endpoint, identity, cloud, SIEM, and threat detection domains.
• Evaluate new security products, run technical assessments and POCs, and make vendor recommendations.
• Integrate and optimise security tools across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments.
• Define security standards, runbooks, and architecture documentation.
• Work closely with engineering, infrastructure, compliance, and incident response teams.
• Stay current with evolving security product landscape and recommend improvements and new capabilities.
• Support incident response and threat investigations by ensuring tooling is configured effectively.
• Mentor technical teams on security tool best practices and emerging capabilities.
