Job summary

Westlink Security is seeking a Security Systems Engineer or 3rd/4th year Apprentice based in Leinster. The role covers installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault-finding across intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, intercoms and fire alarm systems in commercial and domestic settings.

Applicants should be confident across multiple systems, able to diagnose faults, document service reports, and communicate effectively with customers. A full, clean driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Security Systems Engineer.
• Strong practical experience with Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control and Intercoms.
• Experience with Fire Alarm Systems.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience installing, commissioning and maintaining security systems.
• Good knowledge of IP/networked security systems.
• Good IT and networking skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage your own jobs.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service and fault-find security systems.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance and reactive call-outs.
• Configure and programme security systems.
• Complete service reports and relevant documentation.
• Communicate with customers and provide technical support.
• Work both independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
• Maintain high health & safety and workmanship standards.
