Job summary

Welcome centre is seeking a reliable Security Officer to help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, visitors, and staff. This role combines security duties with night reception responsibilities and requires excellent communication, good judgement, and the ability to respond calmly in diverse situations.

Responsibilities include patrols, monitoring CCTV and alarms, handling incidents, and providing a professional night-time reception.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations.
• Basic IT skills and ability to complete incident reports accurately.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular internal and external security patrols.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns.
• Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records.
• Provide a professional reception service during night shifts, including assisting with arrivals, enquiries, and administrative tasks.
• Ensure communal areas are clean, safe, and secure.
• Support residents and guests while enforcing site rules and procedures.
• Report maintenance, safeguarding, or welfare concerns to management.
• Assist with fire alarms, evacuations, and other emergency procedures.
• Work closely with management to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the site.
