Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Principal Security Engineer who partners with developers to embed security into the software development lifecycle and to drive threat modeling at scale.

You will craft reusable threat modeling blueprints, establish governance and review practices, and design formal learning programs that empower engineers and architects to build securely and confidently in day-to-day work. You will collaborate across product teams and security to ensure secure delivery.

Qualifications

• Senior security practitioner with hands-on threat modeling experience.
• Experience influencing teams and developers at scale.
• Strong coaching and communication skills for engineers and architects.

Responsibilities

• Create scalable threat modeling collateral such as blueprints, threat libraries, and templates.
• Implementing and evolving threat modeling methodologies.
• Establishing review and governance practices that support consistent, high-quality outcomes.
• Designing and delivering formal learning and enablement programs for engineers and architects.
