Job summary

Mastercard seeks a Principal Security Engineer to partner with developers, embedding security into the software lifecycle with hands-on guidance and scalable threat modeling practices.

You will lead the evolution of threat modeling methodologies, establish governance for secure delivery at scale, and build learning programs that empower engineers and architects to integrate security into their day-to-day work.

Qualifications

• Senior security practitioner with hands-on threat modeling experience.
• Strong ability to influence across teams and work directly with developers and architects.
• Excellent coaching and communication skills; focus on practical, developer-centric security practices.

Responsibilities

• Create scalable, developer-friendly threat modeling collateral (blueprints, libraries, templates).
• Implement and evolve threat modeling methodologies across Mastercard development lifecycle.
• Establish governance practices to ensure consistent, high-quality security outcomes.
• Design and deliver formal learning and enablement programs for engineers and architects to apply threat modeling in daily work.
