Job summary

Bidvest Noonan is seeking a proactive Security Control Room Operator to monitor client-site security from a control room, respond to incidents, and coordinate responses to maintain safety and security. Qualifications

• Previous experience in a security control room or similar environment.
• Valid PSA Security Licence (or eligible to obtain one).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Flexible shift work, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, access control systems and other security platforms.
• Respond to alarms and incidents in a timely and professional manner.

We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Security Control Room Operator to join our team.

The Role

As a Security Control Room Operator, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security on one of our our client sites. Operating from a control room, you will monitor security systems, respond to incidents, coordinate responses, and ensure all security procedures are followed effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, access control systems, and other security platforms.
• Respond to alarms and incidents in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of all events and security-related activities.
• Coordinate with onsite teams, management, contractors, and client representatives as required.
• Escalate incidents in accordance with procedures.
• Conduct routine system checks and report any faults or concerns.
• Ensure compliance with all company, client, and regulatory requirements.
• Produce reports and maintain clear communication during shifts and handovers.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a security control room, operations centre, or similar environment.
• Valid PSA Security Licence (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Good IT skills, including experience using CCTV and access control systems.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads effectively.
• Flexible approach to shift work, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Experience managing security incidents and emergency responses.
• Knowledge of CCTV legislation and data protection requirements.
• Experience within corporate, retail, healthcare, or critical infrastructure environments.
