Job summary

  • Identify recalls cycle gaps and implement corrective procedures.
  • Mentor and advise new and junior staff.

The Securities and Derivatives Expert is a senior‑level position. The role performs an important function with in the EMEA ASL MO and optimises EMEA Trade Support operations for Agency Securities Lending (ASL) across 22 markets. This role will be responsible for ensuring seamless and timely recall execution and securities return administration for both equity and fixed income instruments. Beyond core recall management, the role encompasses critical desk support, precise corporate actions desk update bookings and claims management execution and understanding. Exceptional proficiency in timely and effective recall management is essential, directly mitigating risk and ensuring compliance within the highly time‑sensitive and complex client sale vs. on‑loan review process.

Responsibilities
  • Execute securities finance recall transaction processing.
  • Formulate procedures, techniques and contribute to the development of new solutions that enhance team productivity, ensuring the entire team meets or exceeds performance goals, including the adoption and utilisation of AI‑driven solutions.
  • Serve as an analytical and procedural expert and the first point of escalation for staff members, management, and internal/external clients.
  • Escalate control gaps and issues to senior management as required.
  • Identify control gaps during recalls cycle and implement appropriate solutions to mitigate risks and prevent control losses.
  • Analyze data to identify control deficiencies and resolve discovered issues through the implementation of appropriate procedures.
  • Act as a mentor and advisor to new and junior staff.
Requirements
  • Extensive relevant experience, preferably in securities transaction processing, with a focus on Securities Finance and/or Securities Lending.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • In‑depth knowledge of middle office trade lifecycle processes and procedures, with the ability to investigate and resolve issues related to agency lending activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
