Job summary

City Education Group in Dublin is seeking experienced teachers in Accounting, Economics and Mathematics to join our team. This in-person, part-time opportunity offers a dynamic learning environment near Dundrum Shopping Centre and a strong educational reputation.

Start dates are November 2026 (Maths) and January 2027 (Accounting & Economics). You will plan, deliver engaging lessons, monitor progress, and communicate with parents while adhering to Leaving Certificate requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or a related subject.
• Professional teaching qualification and Teacher Council Registration.
• Previous teaching experience in a secondary school.
• Familiarity with Leaving Certificate curriculum.
• Garda vetting on appointment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high quality classes that meet learners' needs.
• Ensure teaching meets best practice in classroom management and learner focus.
• Follow the Leaving Certificate syllabus, supplementing with additional material.
• Help prepare students for end-of-year Leaving Certificate exams.
• Record students progress and communicate with parents during parent-teacher meetings.
• Actively engage in Continuous Professional Development and the in-house Teacher Development Programme.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high quality classes that meet the needs of learners, taking into account individual learning styles and interests.
• Ensure teaching meets best practice in key areas of Classroom Management and Learner Focus.
• Follow the Leaving Certificate syllabus, while supplementing with appropriate sourced or developed material.
• Help prepare student for end of year Leaving Certificate exams.
• Record students progress and communicate with parents during parent teacher meetings.
• Actively engage in Continuous Professional Development and the in-house Teacher Development Programme.
