Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ireland Limited in Dublin seeks a Secondary Project Engineer to lead design and delivery of electrical protection, control, and interconnection schemes for industrial installations. The role focuses on diagrams, schematics, and interface design within Grid & Power Quality Solutions and Service.

You will review tender specs, develop design intent documents, and collaborate across teams to ensure timely milestones and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3rd level degree (Hon’s) in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Minimum of 3 years in Secondary Engineering Design on industrial installation projects.
• Strong IT skills and excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams, Protection Interface, and Feeder Block Diagrams.
• Analyse tender documents and technical specifications; prepare Design Intent Documents.
• Develop protection single line diagrams showing relays, meters and design standards.
• Create and review signal lists, trip matrices, logics and interlocks; review vendor drawings.
• Prepare schematics for interface equipment in control and relay panel schemes.
• Develop circuit diagrams for retrofit projects and support panel manufacturing.
