Job summary

Sheridans Cheesemongers is seeking seasonal team members for the busy Christmas period at Knocknacarra, Galway. No prior cheesemongering experience is required; a love of food and a willingness to learn are valued.

In-house training and staff discounts are provided, with a role focused on customer service, cheese knowledge, and festive hampers. You'll be part of a tight-knit team delivering great customer experiences during peak season, with hours ranging from 16 to 40 per week and pay rates by

Qualifications

Interest in food or artisan products preferred; training provided.
Friendly communication and willingness to engage with customers.
Able to work 4-5 days per week, including weekends.

Responsibilities

Welcoming customers and providing friendly service in a busy retail environment.
Learning about cheese, artisan foods, and producers behind them.
Helping customers choose products, discover new flavours, and find perfect pairings.
Preparing, caring for, and displaying cheese and other products to a high standard.
Supporting the team with deliveries, stock rotation, and keeping the shop well organised.
Preparing and presenting festive food hampers.
Keeping counters, fridges, and work areas clean and tidy.
Helping the team deliver a smooth and enjoyable customer experience throughout the busy Christmas period.
