Job summary

CPL Group, in partnership with a leading US financial services company, seeks a Software Engineer in Test (SDET) to design, develop, and automate tests for customer-facing software on a contract basis.

The role emphasizes test automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, and delivering robust software across multi-stack environments. The candidate will collaborate with remote, international team members to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 6–9 years of experience designing and building front-end and webservice apps with test automation.
• Experience with Ruby or Java, Cucumber, JavaScript, HTTP and RESTful web services, Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Influence software design and testing strategies to improve quality.
• Develop and maintain automated tests: unit, integration, functional, performance, and interoperability.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and promote testable software practices.
• Collaborate to improve test coverage, release velocity, and production health.
• Develop automation harnesses using Ruby or Java with Cucumber and SOATest.
• Participate in code reviews for app and test code.
• Work with JavaScript/Angular and Web services/HTTP.
