Amazon Ireland in Dublin is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our Lambda Runtimes team. You will work across multiple languages (Java, Python, Node.js, Go, Rust) to implement, document, and patch runtime features at scale for trillions of invocations.

The role emphasizes collaboration with open-source communities, security updates, and streaming change across seven languages, ensuring Lambda remains fast, reliable, and developer-friendly for millions of customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Experience (non-internship) in professional software development.
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems, or experience debugging, profiling, and implementing best software engineering practices in large-scale systems.
• Experience with open source tools and resources.
• Strong programming skills in at least two of the following: Java, Python, Node.js, Go, Rust.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
