Job summary

Amazon Ireland is seeking a Software Development Engineer I to join a collaborative team building scalable cloud services. You will own design through deployment, contribute to code reviews, and help deliver high-quality solutions used by millions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related STEM fields.
• Expected graduation between Oct 2025 - Sep 2026, OR graduated within the last 24 months.
• Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-disciplinary Amazonians to design, build, and operate innovative products and services.
• Design and develop scalable solutions using cloud-native architectures and microservices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
• Build and maintain distributed systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, and cost-effective.
• Leverage GenAI and AI-powered tools to enhance development productivity.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and design patterns.
• Work in an agile environment with CI/CD and on-call duties.
• Demonstrate operational excellence through monitoring and troubleshooting production issues.
