Job summary

Amazon Development Centre Ireland Limited in Dublin is seeking an experienced software engineer to design and implement scalable, serverless migration workflows for the Amazon RDS migration service. You will build agentic workflows, mentor peers, and contribute to system architecture while supporting on-call rotations in a fast-paced cloud environment.

Qualifications

Experience in professional software development.
Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, serverless microservices that power the migration lifecycle.
Build agentic workflows that integrate with developer tools and enable natural language-driven migrations.
Own operational excellence for your components: define SLAs, build dashboards, runbooks, and root-cause analysis during incidents.
Contribute to system architecture decisions, write design documents, and participate in code reviews.
Collaborate with solution architects, product managers, and partner teams to deliver customer-facing features.
Mentor engineers through code reviews and pair programming.
Participate in on-call rotations and operational excellence initiatives.
