Job summary

Amazon Development Centre Ireland Limited is seeking engineers to design and operate scalable serverless microservices that power the migration lifecycle, including assessment, schema conversion, and data movement. You will develop intelligent, agent‑driven workflows and own the end-to-end process from pre‑migration to data transfer.

The role involves solving hard distributed systems challenges around reliability, security, and performance, and working at the intersection of cloud infrastructure

Qualifications

• Mentor or tech lead experience capable of guiding a team.
• Experience designing scalable architectures.
• Proven software development experience in last 3 years.
• Proficiency with Java, C++, or C#.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, serverless microservices powering the migration lifecycle (assessment, schema conversion, data movement).
• Develop agent‑driven migration workflows integrating with modern developer tools and NLP interfaces.
• Own end‑to‑end migration lifecycle from pre‑migration assessment to data movement phases.
• Solve distributed systems challenges around reliability, security, and performance for customer workloads.
• Work at the intersection of cloud and AI/ML to deliver seamless migration experiences.
• Mentor SDEs through code reviews, design guidance, and pair programming.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and operational excellence initiatives.
