Job summary

RTÉ is Ireland's national public-service media organisation. We are seeking an experienced Script Editor for Fair City, reporting to the Series and Executive Producers.

The Script Editor will work closely with writers, providing feedback to refine drafts while ensuring continuity, budget considerations and correct running times within the show's editorial framework. The role is based in Dublin and the appointment is for one-year fixed term, with a salary scale from €50,127 to €74,713 gross per

Qualifications

• Significant practical experience in serial drama at script editor level or higher.
• Understanding of a serial drama with heavy workload and quick turnaround.
• Strong language and communication skills.
• Education background in language and literature desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with writers at each draft and provide feedback.
• Edit scripts to ensure continuity, budget and running times align with the editorial framework.
• Work within the production team under the guidance of the Executive Producer.
• Support the Fair City production team in day-to-day script development.
