Job summary

RTÉ is seeking a Platform Editor for a Casual Panel in Dublin to support content delivery across live and on-demand channels. The panel operates on a casual irregular contract basis with a rate between €22.59 and €31.73 per hour, on-site in Dublin.

Qualifications

• Strong technical expertise in broadcasting operations and media systems.
• Experience with output workflows and content delivery systems.
• Understanding of regulatory and editorial framework governing broadcast content.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across multiple teams.
• Ability to anticipate issues and make decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring content meets platform-specific requirements, regulatory obligations and RTÉ's editorial standards.
• Collaborating with editorial, production, scheduling and technical teams to deliver content accurately and on time across platforms.
• Supporting successful output of channels and services, including accessibility services such as subtitling and audio description.
• Maintaining accurate metadata to maximise content discoverability and cross-platform opportunities.
• Identifying opportunities to streamline and automate workflows for greater efficiency and scale.
• Monitoring output and proactively resolving technical, operational or content-related issues to minimise disruption.
• Embracing new technologies, workflows and services, including cloud-based and AI-enabled solutions.
• Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of relevant technological, operational, editorial and compliance requirements.
• Adhering to all emergency and Business Continuity Planning procedures.
