Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer I, Scaled Solutions, to troubleshoot data center blockers and drive scalable solutions across global operations. You will design tools, create playbooks, and collaborate with Engineering to address root causes while supporting on-call rotations and cross-functional priorities.

You will work within Google Cloud Platform’s Scaled Solutions, delivering performant technical and process solutions, with a focus on reliability, efficiency, and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with two or more of the following domains: Web Technology, Data/Big Data, Systems Administration, Machine Learning, Networking, Kubernetes, Oracle, SAP.
• 5 years of experience troubleshooting and triaging technical issues for customers.
• Experience owning full lifecycle of technical projects including design, development, maintenance, and improvements.
• Experience reading code in a general purpose language or system design.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot data center blockers to achieve swift resolution.
• Design, improve, and iterate on internal tools, software, and automated frameworks to streamline issue management life-cycle.
• Create standardized technical playbooks and processes for autonomous issue resolution.
• Partner with Engineering and Server Operations to identify and fix root causes of negative outcomes.
• Manage project schedules and participate in weekend on-call duties or shift rotations.
