Job Overview

The Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and operating production‑grade cloud platforms on GCP. This role emphasizes Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) ownership, Infrastructure as Code, cloud reliability, security, and cost‑efficient design, supporting large‑scale microservices and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, and operate GCP infrastructure using Terraform with best‑practice modular patterns.
• Own and operate production GKE clusters, including networking, storage, upgrades, and autoscaling.
• Manage core GCP services including IAM, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and networking.
• Design and implement cloud networking using Global Load Balancers (GLBs) and Regional Internal Load Balancers (RILBs).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud, infrastructure, and platform services.
• Implement and enforce cloud security best practices and least‑privilege IAM models.
• Support monitoring of AI/LLM services for latency, errors, and cost anomalies where applicable.
• Identify and implement cloud cost optimization opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• At least 2 years hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience working with Kubernetes, specifically Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Experience working in cloud-native environments, with GCP preferred.
• Solid understanding of GCP Compute, Storage, and Networking services.
• Exposure to monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure and platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites Skills
