Job summary

PEAK TECHNOLOGIES in Ireland is seeking a Sales Manager to lead an inside and field sales team across the island of Ireland, delivering sustainable revenue and gross-margin growth. You will forecast accurately, build long-term customer and partner relationships, and work closely with Marketing, Operations and Finance.

You will coach and develop Sales Representatives, set objectives, manage budgets, and represent the company at industry events while upholding Irish employment practices and data

Qualifications

  • Experience leading a B2B sales team and delivering revenue and gross-margin targets.
  • Strong capability in sales planning, pipeline management, forecasting, coaching, and negotiations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present to customers and senior leaders.
  • Analytical skills with data-driven decision making.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and MS 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Fluency in English; travel readiness and eligibility to work in Ireland.

Job description

The Sales Manager is responsible for delivering sustainable revenue and gross-margin growth through effective leadership of an inside (office based) and field sales team serving customers across the island of Ireland and other assigned markets. Working closely with the Sales Director and colleagues across Marketing, Operations and Finance. The role will follow guidance set by the Sales Director and Chief Commercial Officer for commercial priorities, and assist in developing team capabilities, maintain robust, accurate forecasting, building long-term customer and partner relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To carry both an individual and a team quota for revenue, and margin delivery.
  • Develop and deliver annual and quarterly sales plans aligned with company strategy, agreed budgets and market opportunities.
  • Lead, coach and develop Sales Representatives through regular one-to-ones, team meetings, call reviews, field support and structured development plans.
  • Set clear, fair and measurable objectives; monitor performance; recognise strong contribution; and address performance concerns promptly in line with company policies and Irish employment practices.
  • Provide accurate weekly, monthly and quarterly forecasts for revenue, gross margin, pipeline, conversion and customer retention.
  • Maintain high-quality CRM data and ensure that customer, opportunity, activity and forecast information is complete, accurate and current.
  • Review sales activity and outcomes, including pipeline coverage, conversion, revenue, margin, customer retention and returns, and take evidence-based corrective action.
  • Partner with Marketing to plan and execute campaigns, promotions, events and vendor-led programmes appropriate to the Irish and assigned markets.
  • Use customer insight, market data and competitor intelligence to identify opportunities, inform pricing and support sound commercial decisions.
  • Build trusted relationships with key customers and partners; support complex negotiations, proposals and account plans; and participate in customer presentations where required.
  • Manage sales expenditure within agreed budgets and apply the company’s approval, pricing, discount and governance requirements.
  • Represent the company professionally at customer meetings, industry events and trade-association activities.
  • Promote an inclusive, safe and respectful working environment and comply with relevant company policies, data-protection requirements and applicable Irish law.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITIES
  • A relevant Level 8 qualification is desirable; equivalent relevant commercial experience will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a business-to-business sales team and delivering revenue and gross-margin targets.
  • Strong capability in sales planning, pipeline management, forecasting, coaching, performance management and commercial negotiation.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to customers, colleagues and senior leaders.
  • Sound judgement, analytical ability and confidence using data to prioritise activity and make decisions.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Teams.
  • Experience in technology, supply-chain, mobile-computing or related solutions is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English is required for the role; additional languages relevant to the customer base are an advantage.
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland and ability to undertake the travel required for the role.
